The 2018 Five-Sovereign Piece was issued to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, marking her Sapphire Anniversary.
 
The coin features Queen Elizabeth II's fifth official coinage portrait by Jody Clark on the obverse. The reverse features Benedetto Pistrucci's iconic St George and the Dragon design, accompanied by a special '65' privy mark created to commemorate the anniversary.
 
Struck in 22ct gold with a Brilliant Uncirculated finish, the Five-Sovereign Piece was issued as an individual presentation with a limited edition of 1,000 coins.
