The coin features the first official coinage portrait of King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. The reverse features a new interpretation of the Royal Arms by Jody Clark, replacing the traditional St George and the Dragon design for this special commemorative issue.
 
Struck in 22ct gold and finished to Proof standard, this Sovereign represents an important moment in the history of British coinage as the first Sovereign to bear the portrait of King Charles III.
