The Tank Française was introduced in 1996 as a contemporary interpretation of Cartier's iconic Tank design. Its defining feature is the integrated bracelet, which flows directly into the rectangular case to create a particularly seamless and distinctive appearance.
 
The Ref. 2302 is the 28mm stainless-steel and 18ct yellow-gold automatic version, combining Cartier's classic Roman numeral dial with a two-tone integrated bracelet and automatic mechanical movement. Examples of the reference are documented from around the late 1990s through the 2000s.
