A highly collectable 1977 Rolex GMT-Master, featuring the iconic red and blue “Pepsi” bezel and the sought-after MK3 Radial Dial. This vintage timepiece represents an important chapter in Rolex's history, combining the distinctive styling of the 1970s with the functionality of one of the world's most recognisable travel watches.

Crafted in stainless steel, the 40mm Oyster case features a striking red and blue bidirectional rotating bezel with a 24-hour scale, originally designed to allow pilots and international travellers to track a second time zone.

The black dial features the desirable Radial Dial configuration, distinguished by its smaller luminous hour markers positioned further towards the centre of the dial than on standard GMT-Master examples. Complemented by the classic Mercedes-style hands, red GMT hand and date display at 3 o'clock, this distinctive dial makes the watch particularly appealing to vintage Rolex collectors.

Powered by the Rolex Calibre 1575 automatic GMT movement, the watch combines traditional Swiss watchmaking with the practicality of a second time-zone display.

Finished with a stainless-steel Oyster bracelet and presented in a Rolex wooden presentation box, this is a wonderful example of a classic vintage sports Rolex.

The History of the Rolex GMT-Master

Originally introduced in 1954, the Rolex GMT-Master was developed in collaboration with Pan American World Airways to meet the needs of pilots travelling across multiple time zones.

The reference 1675, produced from approximately 1959 to 1980, became one of the most celebrated vintage GMT-Master references, recognised for its distinctive bezel, robust Oyster case and classic dial configurations.

Among its variations, the MK3 Radial Dial is particularly desirable due to its unusual hour-marker positioning and relatively limited production period.

The combination of the vintage Pepsi bezel, Radial Dial and 1970s styling makes this example an appealing addition to any serious Rolex collection.
