The Rolex Yacht-Master 16622
Introduced at the end of the 1990s, the reference 16622 became particularly recognisable for its use of Rolesium, Rolex’s name for the combination of stainless steel and platinum. Unlike the more utilitarian Submariner, the Yacht-Master was conceived with a more luxurious nautical character, pairing Rolex’s robust Oyster construction with a platinum bezel and distinctive silver-toned dial.
This 2001 example represents an early-era version of the five-digit Yacht-Master 40 and is made particularly appealing by the presence of its original box and papers.
